Summary:Chest compression is a vital component of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Chest compression frequency and depth are highly related to the quality of CPR. But it is still unknown how the chest compression frequency and depth can influence the blood pressure for CPR. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the blood pressure and the frequency and depth of chest compression during CPR. Four healthy Bama pigs (weight =30 \pm 2 \mathrm{~kg}) were used for an animal experiment. A CPR operation was given after cardiac arrest was successfully evoked. Chest compression depth, frequency, and arterial pressure were recorded simultaneously in the process of the CPR. The results showed that there was a correlation between MAP and chest compression depth and frequency. With the same MAP, the depth and frequency of compression exhibited a inverse proportional correlation. A linear positive correlation was observed between MAP and the product of the frequency and depth of the chest compression \left(r^{2}=0.91\right). This study established a mathematic model for the relationship between blood pressure and chest compression frequency and depth, which may provide guidance of high-quality CPR.
