Summary:Photonic assisted system for generation of terahertz signals is proposed and analyzed. Terahertz signals in the frequency range of 0.1 THz - 0.15 THz with a spacing of 0.05 THz are obtained. Depending upon the number of channels, frequency of each channel and frequency spacing between the channels of the train of radio frequency signal generator, terahertz signals in the range of 0.1 THz - 0.15 THz are obtained with distinct power levels for each of the THz frequency component. These terahertz signals can be best suitable for short-range wireless communications for beyond 5G and 6G applications.
