Summary:This paper presents the development and testing of a compact, low-cost phased array system capable of precise electronic beam steering. Through the integration of digitally-controlled phase shifters into a series-fed antenna array panel, the proposed system enables adaptive directional control of the radiation pattern at 3.75 GHz. Preliminary results obtained from an anechoic chamber validate the effectiveness of the system in reliably steering the antenna beam to specified angles between 0 and 90 degrees. The streamlined architecture, minimizing component count and complexity, demonstrates a scalable and cost-effective solution for emerging beamforming applications, including 5G communications and radar.
