Summary:An Energy Harvesting Power Management Integrated Circuit (EH-PMIC) Boost converter block for energy harvesting systems is presented in this paper, with a focus on its application in Remote control. The study considers a specific input voltage range of 1.8 volts to 2.6 volts and an output voltage requirement of 3.6 volts. Various boost topology are examined, leading to the selection of a standard boost converter design. Both open-loop and closed-loop systems are analyzed, and the complete boost converter is constructed and simulated to meet the specific design criteria required for remote controller applications and achieving a good voltage conversion and efficiency of 86%.The complete system is modelled and simulated in UMC 180nm technology on Cadence Virtuoso platform.
