Summary:Here, we propose a novel terahertz wireless communication scheme, namely, establishing a wireless communication system at 100 GHz without a modulator based on a terahertz transmissive reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) that allows real-time independent control of amplitude and phase shift parameters in spatial dimensions. The system demonstrates beam deviation in the range of 0° to ±60° and real-time on-off keying (OOK) modulation of up to 100MHz. This scheme provides a new paradigm for research in 6G wireless communication.
