Summary:We present a concept of an affordable, wearable smart office system for real-time monitoring of human respiratory rate and posture angle, with incorporated task-management functionality through an RF touch sensor. The respiratory sensor is implemented using a Vivaldi-like antenna, with an operating range within 5.8 GHz band, coupled with an aluminum plate. The posture sensor employs a bendable textile antenna designed for 2.45 GHz band. The principle of operation behind both respiratory and posture sensor is based on resonance shift. User-system interaction is realized using resonator-based touch sensor at 5.8 GHz. All measurements are carried out with nanoVNA, while the processing is done on a personal computer. The work provides insights into the technical aspects and functionalities of the proposed system, paving the way for further research and development in wearable technology for health and lifestyle applications.
