Summary:A 8×10Gbps wavelength division multiplexing with wireless optical communication (WDM-WOC) system incorporating distinct input sources in 380-700nm visible range is realized. The system performance is evaluated for varied range at 80Gbps throughput for input power of 5 and 10dBm. Simulation results indicate that best performance can be obtained for high input power of 10dBm followed by 5dBm and offers maximum range of 380-400km and 270-400km respectively, at 80Gbps throughput. The obtained eye patterns illustrate the optimum system performance at 10dBm input power from 250-400km than system at 5dBm power. The received power of -18 to -30dBm can be realized over 200-400km range at 10dBm input power. Moreover, this design is better than others existing ones.
