Summary:The enhancement of phototheranostics specificity and selectivity represents a pressing objective. The selectivity of the procedure can be significantly increased by using AIPc nanoparticles as photosensitizers. The present study investigates the occurrence of optical effects manifested by the interaction of crystalline AIPc nanoparticles with the microenvironment and laser irradiation by means of time-resolved laser spectroscopy, analysis of multispectral fluorescence microimages, microstructure and X-ray diffraction techniques.
