2000kW-8000RPM Very High-Speed Induction Motor Drive System

A novel high-speed motor drive system consisting of a squirrel cage induction motor and high voltage GTO inverter has been developed. Details of 2000kW-8000rpm induction motor system and its merits over other possible very high-speed motor drive systems will be introduced in this paper.
