Summary:Iran, after Hasan Ruhani’s victory in election in 2013, has started to establish good relations with Western countries and neighbors. Within this framework, efforts were made to develop relations with Scandinavian countries, and Hasan Ruhani invited these countries’ heads of states to Iran. After the nuclear agreement between Iran and P5+1 countries in 2015, Iran-Scandinavia relations have also begun to revive. In the foreign policy of Ruhani, it is important to bring the relations with the Scandinavian countries before the Islamic Revolution and to make trade agreements with these countries for the abolition of heavy sanctions imposed on Iran. The aim of this study is to analyze Iran's relations with the Scandinavian countries in the historical framework and to analyze the developments experienced after the Iranian Islamic Revolution and their reflection on the bilateral relations.
