Summary: | The Internet has been revolutionized the way companies do business. It is a powerful tool for conducting business. This essay aims to analyze the main theoretical approaches underlying the e-business. To this end, a literature review was performed in the main bases of national and international data to identify and rate the main theoretical currents. It was found that e-business has been studied by two perspectives--focus on the external environment (TOE) and internal activities (Business Model)--and that these are developed in a piecemeal mode. At the end, we delineate a framework to support empirical applications. |
