The scope of this work is to bring to light the problem of a strong culture rooted in Middle Eastern countries, which sometimes comes into conflict with the human rights that are guaranteed to all by the very condition of being human. It seeks to outline parallels between cultural issues that must be respected, but that at the same time cannot override the human condition of being and everything that is naturally entitled to it. Through the deductive method of bibliographical research, the research was conducted in order to demonstrate in a reasoned way all the faces of the subject in question (female genital mutilation), analyzing all the consequences of the practice and violations caused by it in terms of the legal scope in a strand that seeks to make an analogy from the perspective of uses, customs and current Brazilian legislation. As a contribution, it essentially aims to foster reasoning beyond reality itself and contribute to an enriching understanding and understanding of other cultures and conflicts, of immense relevance and importance in a global context, based on the premise that solidarity must permeate and strengthen our relationships with each other. Keywords: Circumcision; Beliefs; Culture; Human rights; Dignity of human person O presente trabalho tem como escopo trazer a lume a problematica de uma forte cultura arraigada nos paises do oriente medio, que por vezes vem a conflitar com os direitos humanos que a todos sao assegurados pela propria condicao de ser humano. Busca delinear paralelos entre questoes culturais que devem ser respeitadas, mas que ao mesmo tempo nao podem se sobrepor a condicao humana do ser e de tudo aquilo que lhe e naturalmente de direito. Por meio do metodo dedutivo por pesquisa bibliografica, a pesquisa foi conduzida a fim de demonstrar de maneira fundamentada todas as faces do tema em questao (mutilacao genital feminina), analisando todas as consequencias da pratica e violacoes por ela causadas quanto ao ambito juridico numa vertente que procura fazer analogia sob uma otica dos usos, costumes e da legislacao brasileira vigente. Como contribuicao, objetiva em sua essencia fomentar um raciocinio para alem da propria realidade e contribuir para um entendimento e compreensao enriquecedores a respeito de outras culturas e conflitos, de imensa relevancia e importancia num contexto mundial partindo da premissa de que a solidariedade deve permear com muita forca nossas relacoes para com o outro.
