Summary:In this article we present the results of analyses carried out on ceramic material from the archaeological site AM-IT-30 Pedra Chata (Itacoatiara, AM). We present elements detected in the ceramic assemblages, allowing us to observe the maintenance of identities in areas with cultural flow. By presenting our case study, we also aim to make a methodological contribution and participate in the regional debate on the classification of archaeological ceramics from the lower Urubu River, in Central Amazonia. Neste artigo apresentamos os resultados da analise realizada no material ceramico do sitio arqueologico AM-IT-30 Pedra Chata (Itacoatiara, AM). Apresentamos elementos detectados nos conjuntos ceramicos, que nos auxiliam observar a manutencao de identidades em areas com fluxos culturais. Ao expor nosso estudo de caso, procuramos tambem contribuir metodologicamente e participar do debate regional acerca das classificacoes das ceramicas arqueologicas do baixo rio Urubu, na Amazonia Central.
