Summary: | The distribution of the foraminifera of the order Rotaliida in the Upper Cretaceous reference sections of Western Siberia is analyzed. The narrow stratigraphic range of most species, a wide geographical distribution, and the reliable diagnostic characters of the majority of the Rotaliida species make them valuable stratigraphic markers and characteristic species of the Upper Cretaceous foraminiferal zonal scale. The taxonomic composition of the zonal complexes is refined. |
