Summary:Over the period spring 1991 - winter 1994 algal samples were collected from the Obnica and Jablanica rivers, as well as from the Kolubara river up to Lajkovac town (Serbia, Yugoslavia). Examining the material collected we determined 210 taxa from six divisions of algae. The most common algae were those belonging to the division Bacillariophyta (129 taxa), much fewer were the representatives of Cyanophyta and Chlorophyta, while Euglenophyta, Pyrrophyta and Rhodophyta had the most uniform composition.
