Summary:In this paper two new hop genotypes "clone-6" and "clone-23" have been described. They are created as mid'early, aroma varieties with high yield potential. Both clones are female, diploid, half' sister selections with identical breeding history. They have been developed by crossing Slovenian cv. "ahil" as a mother parent with English cv. "Northern Brewer" as a father parent. The new clones during 10 years of testing achieved average yield of 2.4 t/ha and 2.6 t/ha respectively. The three major hydrocarbons, myrcene, humulene, and caryophylene, consistently accounted for over 80 of the total oil composition. In comparison with cv. "Backa", the two new clones are superiour in all major characteristics.
