Summary:Using line x tester analysis the variability and inheritance of length and width of pepper fruit in F1 was investigated. Between the mean values of parents and F1 hybrids, significant differences were found for examined characters. The variability was higher in the parents than in F1 hybrids. The fruit length and width in pepper were under control of both additive and non-additive gene action.
