Summary:Investigations were carried out upon the raw material which served as a check (obtained from Tobacco Combination Prilep, Yugoslavia) and upon the veins of the varieties Virginia and Burley, choppings from manipulation, choppings from manufacture and remanufactured choppings. Investigations were also carried out upon the physical properties, absolute humidity and water retention capability. The best physical properties, in our investigations, were noticed in the reconstituted tobacco obtained from veins of the Virginia variety, and the worst in the reconstituted tobacco obtained from the manufactured choppings.
