Summary:This study analyzes the organization of reafforestation of the Slovene Karst (Yugoslavia). Successful results in reafforestation, in the second half of the past century, had a great response among the world professionals. Special attention was given to the analysis of socio-economic changes after World War II, which caused phenomenal natural spreading of forests in this region. Today, this area is a region with above-average richness in timber.
