Summary:This paper provides a review of registered Yugoslav Bc inbred maize lines, recent Bc inbred lines in various stages of testing, results of the investigation into resistance of Bc lines under conditions of artificial inoculation with Helminthosporium turcicum (Ht), Colletotrichum graminicola (C.g.), Fusarium graminearum (F.G.) (Rugvica) and under conditions of natural stalk rot and breakage, testing results regarding stalk yield and strength with 8 new Bc lines, chemical composition (moisture, proteins, crude fat, crude fiber, crude ash), grain yield and the plant height.
