Summary:The average increase of oil percentage in grain of the 25th selection cycle in Alexho population (maize) was 247% of the initial cycle average. The average increase of oil percentage in the 4th selection cycle of YU SSS population was 51% and that of DS 7U 77% of the initial, original population average. The average change in oil percentage per selection cycle was 0.43 for Alexho Synthetic, 0.48 for YU SSS and 0.78 for DS 7U population. The calculated inbreeding coefficient of the 25th selection cycle in Alexho population was 0.17.
