Summary:The enzime-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and complement fixation test (CFT) were used to detect leptospira specific antibody response in cattle. ELISA antigen was developed from heated culture of a strain Wijnberg serovar Copenhageni and CFT antigen was developed from formolized culture of serovar Hardjo strain Hardjoprajitno. Microscopic agglutination test (MAT) served as reference. Low correlation of ELISA and high correlation of CFR with reference test were found. ELISA also showed lower specificity and sensitivity (88% and 91% respectively). Complement fixation test showed satisfying sensitivity (94%) and 100% specificity, which gave predictive value of a positive sample 100.00% and the predictive value of a negative test 99.76%.
