Summary:For many years, in Montenegro (Yugoslavia), autochthonous traditional milk products has been produced, especially cheese and skorup (creamcheese). The study of the main autochthonous products, the technology of milk processing and the quality of some kinds of cheese and skorup have been conducted over many years in Montenegro (Yugoslavia). On the basis of these data the map shows the dispersion of the main milk products of Montenegro (Yugoslavia). The chemical composition of some kinds of cheese and skorup are clearly shown in table. Some of the many kinds of cheese and skorup are of a good quality and have a specific taste and therefore it is necessary to protect their origin.
