Summary:Biopsy of 350 sterile cows' uteruses identified mostly permanent unspecific microflora. Positive results varied by years at approximately equal level (39.40 - 45.25%). Milking capacity increase by 1,140 kg per cow in 10 years, calculated on the average of 14,000 cows, resulted in service period prolonged by 16 days. Service period was shortened by 54.20 days and calving rate increased by 5.26% with improved feeding quality in production conditions in experimental stocks. Uncompleted service period is shorter by 26.78 days on the average.
