Summary:On the Waiboerhoeve, Lelystad, one has been working with two different systems for cleaning up 10 m wide self-feed clamp silos for dairy cattle. One system consisted of a delta scraper with a working width of 10 m. The scraper was driven by an electromotor and a continuous chain. The other system consisted of a slatted dung channel. Dung of both sides had to be pushed by hand to the middle of the silo. Both slurry handling systems appeared to be usable in practical situations.
