Summary:Injection of slurry in grassland has advantages in comparison with spreading it over grassland. Research was carried out on developing a machine to realize slurry injection under practical conditions. A number of experiences is mentioned: For fitting the injection unit to the slurry tank a chassis under the tank is necessary; Clogging can be decreased by intensive stirring of slurry in storage. For signalizing stop up's an indication system was developed, which reports disturbances to a lamp panel in the tractor cabin; For a better distribution of slurry while working on sloping land the horizontal distribution tube was replaced by a barrel with a diameter of 45 cm. In this barrel a strainer was placed to avoid clogging; On peat soils both tractor and injector have to be provided with dual wheels. On clay soils a working width of 3 m was possible if a tractor with a capacity of at least 75 kW was available.
