Summary:The species were identified as Lucilia cuprina (W.), Lucilia sericata (Weig.), Chrysomia megacephala (Fab.) and Sarcophaga species. A comparative study of the rearing of these flies on three different food media was made. In poa the flies showed maximum growth and development. The lifecycle of these species varied from 13-17 days in ambient temperatures (28-32 deg C).
