Summary:Crystalline Yellow Chrysanthemum (typical representative for the breed of Chrysanthemum that reacts upon short lighting duration) is being broadly planted in Vietnam. In order to extend growing duration to improve quality and productiveness of cultivation of Chrysanthemum, additional light method is applied in different lighting duration: 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours and 12 hours (overnight). Results indicate that all the above mentioned additional lighting regimens markedly impact in extension of growing and flowering duration, and improve quality of flowers. Therein, the treatment of 2-hour duration (between 23h - 01h) using 100 W incandescent lamps with density of 1 bulb/10 m2 for shining continuously for 30 days (10 days after planting) gives the highest output and the best quality of flower, and economical efficacy increases 4.6 times more than the control lot (non-treated trees) and the lot of overnight illuminated trees.
