Summary:Rice germplasm conservation is considered as an important role in biodiversity management. 273 accessions of landraces and 108 populations of wild species were collected in 2000-2001 in Mekong Delta and its surrounding areas. Phenotyping and genotyping assessement were conducted to detect the target genes which control to brown plant hopper, blast, bacterial leafblight. Genetic diversity was analyzed with DNA polymorphism by RFLP, STS and microsatellite marker in wild species and landraces. Abiotic stresses such as salinity and aluminum toxicity were also tested in Yoshida solution under these stress conditions at seedling stage
