Summary:New methods for producing partially purified and immobilized luciferase have been devised on the basis of the notion of this enzyme as a lipoprotein. A highly active and stable soluble luciferase preparation has been obtained, making it possible to determine ATP concentrations down to 0.1 nM. The present paper describes a method for immobilizing the enzyme on phosphatidylcholine-lipidized polymer membranes based on nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate. It has been shown that the immobilized luciferase preparations can be reused in bioluminescence microanalysis
