Summary:Since its conception the PNNS was characterized by a strong articulation between the national level (framework and incentives) and a regional and local level with involvement of local authorities and NGO's. This dynamic is demonstrated here through several examples. Declinations conducted in each region are illustrated by the program of region Franche Comté. Mouans Sartoux, town in Alpes Maritimes, demonstrates the ability of municipalities to influence the quality of life using the many levers of actions available to a local community. The range of interventions in schools and among parents is provided through the a nutrition program for children and teenagers in Aquitaine. A local project, national in scope, in Avignon, shows how it is actually possible to supply fresh fruits and vegetables people with social problems. In their diversity, there are several common ingredients contributing to the success of local interventions. The article concludes by identifying these success factors that are attributable to the national PNNS organization or determined by the local will or context.
