Summary:Extract: This study was conducted under contract with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to provide the basic data relative to grain flows into, within, and out of Minnesota. It is based on a survey of 273 grain marketing firms located throughout Minnesota, and divided into three groups: country elevators, terminal elevators, and grain processors. The survey was designed to estimate the quantity of grain shipped and received, the origin and destinations of the shipment, the mode of transportation, and the month of shipment during the 1979 calendar year.
