Summary:Diffusion coefficients of 90 Sr, 137 Cs and 239 Pu and parameters of convection transfer of the Chernobyl fuel particles in some typical soils of the Ukrainian Polesye (Forest zone) has been estimated in conditions of laboratory model experiments. Role of soil moisture as well as physico-chemical properties of radionuclides in the intensity of diffusional and directional transfer of radionuclides in soil contrasting by their properties has been estimated. Intensity of directional transfer of the fuel particles in soils is significantly lower than that for radionuclides in initial water-soluble form. Predominant transfer of particles with submicron size in soil profile has been shown.
