The effect of sucrose and maltose concentration on in vitro microtuberation of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars

The effects of different concentrations (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 %) of sucrose and maltose in MS contained 6 % agar on potato (Agria and Justine cultivars) on growth ( plant length, branch number) and microtuberization were were evaluated on in vitro. In the end of study, plant growth was changed acco...

Summary:The effects of different concentrations (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 %) of sucrose and maltose in MS contained 6 % agar on potato (Agria and Justine cultivars) on growth ( plant length, branch number) and microtuberization were were evaluated on in vitro. In the end of study, plant growth was changed according to cultivars on in vitro. The best of growth ( plant length, branch number) was observed with using 6-10 % carbon concentrations in medium.
