Summary:The main objective of this study to determine and identify virus diseases in groundnut grown in East Mediterranean region. Groundnut Bud Necrosis Virus (GBNV), Peanut Stunt Virus (PSV) and Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV) were searched by using the biological and serological methods. Survey trials were carried out in groundnut fields of Osmaniye, Adana, Mersin and Kahramanmaraş in 2004-2006 years. The samples of groundnut plants to be virus-infected were collected from the groundnut fields. Bu çalışma, Doğu Akdeniz Bölgesinde yerfıstığında zararlı virüs hastalıkların saptanması ve tanılanması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, Groundnut Bud Necrosis Virus (GBNV), Peanut Stunt Virüs (PSV) ve Tomato Spotted Wilt Virüsünün (TSWV) varlığı biyolojik ve serolojik yöntemler kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Survey çalışmaları 2004-2006 yılları arasında Osmaniye, Adana, Mersin ve Kahramanmaraş illerinde yerfıstığı yetiştirilen tarlalarda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araziden, virüsle infekteli olduğundan şüphelenilen yerfıstığı bitki örnekleri toplanmıştır.
