Summary:Field trail for the use of brodifacoum (wax block) for rat control in Barley was conducted in Ban Mae Korn, Amphoe Muang, Changwat Chiangrai. Two plots were set 2 kilometer apart; each of them covered the area of 300 rai. One was treated with brodifacoum 0.005 % wax block at the rate of one kilogramme per ten rai for 3 times. The other was not treated with any rodenticide. After treatment for one month, the rat population and damaged tillers were assessed. The treated and the untreated plots. The percentages of damage tiller is 0.40 in the treated plot and 6.55 in the untreated plot.
