Summary:Study on Incidence of ectoparasites of 555 stay dogs from 44 districts of Bangkok Metropolitan Area during January to December 1999 revealed following ecotoparaites : biting lice (Heterodoxus spiniger), fleas (Ctenocephalides felis orientalis and Ctenocephalides felis felis), hard ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus), mange mites (Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis. Demodex canis and Otodectes cynotis). Incidence of Otodectes cynotis infestation among 354 stray dogs from 37 districts of Bangkok Metropolitan Area was 30.51 percent.
