Summary:Examination of total 452 samples of animal feed during January to September 1999 is subgrouped to 122 samples of aflatoxin, 106 samples of zearalenone, 92 samples of t-2 toxin, 52 samples of vomitoxin and 80 samples of fumonisin. The results of the contamination are graded to 3 levels of not-detected, acceptable contamination level, and over-acceptable contamination level. It reveals that 13, 32.1, 30.4, 52.1, and 33.8 percent of alflatoxin, zearalenone, t-2 toxin, vomitoxin, and fumonisin was founded at not-detected level. The acceptable level of contamination was detected at 75.5, 49.1, 45.7, 19.3, and 51.2 percent of aflatoxin, zearalenone, t-2 toxin, vomitoxin, and fumonisin, respectively and the over-acceptable level at 11.5, 18.8, 23.9, 28.6, and 15 percent of the same order. The rsult reveals more than 10 percent of mycotoxin contamination that considered harmful to agricultural industry. The strategy of pre-harvest and post-harvest prevention of feedstuff mycotoxin contamination should be seriously in active approach.
