Summary:Studied the clarify of synthetic waste water by activated sludge process. The model of multistage tower aeration tank and completely aeration tank were used in this study. The appropriate ratio of sludge and synthetic waste water was studied in the completely aeration tank and used in multistage tower aeration tank. From the study reveal that the appropriate ratio is 3:10 because it give the highest efficiency in the decomposition of organic matter. The COD removal by 92 percent in 84 hours while pH of water is in the range of 7.55-8.80. The total solid decrease by 48 percent while the suspended solid decrease by 68 percent. The settleable solid increase by 52 percent while the sludge density index is 1.2 percent. The decrease rate of nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and sulfide are 40-80 percent. The study of multistage tower aeration tank reveal that 4 and 8 -levels of multistage tower aeration tank give the similar result in the treat of waste water. From the study found that the COD removal by 92 percent in 66 hours while pH of water is in the range of 7.2-7.6. The total solid decrease by 31-42 percent while the suspended solid decrease by 72-73 percent. The settleable solid increase by 59-60 percent while the sludge density index is 1.4 percent in the 4-levels and 1.6 percent in the 8-levels. The decrease rate of nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and sulfide are in the range of 50-80 percent.
