Summary:Investigations in the Vientiane region, Laos show the climate and soil conditions to be suitable for sweet pepper production. According to field tests, the high-yielding Szentesi Kossarvu Innch-type variety can be recommended for mass production, and Czeresney paprika (an extra hot variety from the cherry group) for chili production. The unrestricted Taltos SH and Belecskai varieties can be recommended for fresh market production.
