Summary:The paper presents the basic statistical characteristics of photosynthetically active radiation in Slovakia. The monthly values of sunshine duration and cloudiness for the period 1961-1990 were used as input data for calculation. The monthly sums of photosynthetically active radiation were estimated by the method worked out by Jefimova (1965).
