Summary:In a breeding-genetic experiment the reproductive characters, fecundity of wild red and silver foxes and their crosses over the course of five years were evaluated. Mean number of live-born offspring in the group of red foxes was 1, silver foxes 3.87. In the group of crosses the mean number of weanlings on mother female was 1.33 in 1987 and 4.84 in 1990; 0.44 in 1989 and 3.50 in 1990 on one female of the basic herd, respectively
