Summary:The objective was to determine the effect of virginiamycin on nutrient digestibility and performance of broiler rabbits. The effect of virginiamycin at a dose of 30 mg/kg of feed and/or granular feed mixture was determined in 2 metabolic trials. The trials were conducted on 32 rabbits of the hybrid Hyla 2000 between the 33rd and 91st day of age. A supplement of 30 mg of the active ingredient of virginiamycin had positive effects on the basic characteristics of broiler production. Feed conversion in trial 2 was increased significantly (p less than 0.05). Virginiamycin insignificantly increased crude protein (in trial 1), fat and fibre digestibility (in trial 2)
