Summary:The purpose of this work was to verify the composition of beer yeast before and after its dehydration in a spray drier depending on temperature. At the same time specific energy consumption needed for drying of the material was also detected. Evaluations reveal that it is possible to dry the beer yeast in temperatures around 100 degrees C without any cancellation of nourishing properties. During experiments temperatures up to 165 degrees C were used. The most suitable conditions from the energy point of view were in experiment number 3, when the consumption of specific energy was lowest
