Supply of major elements from grassland in cows
In feed samples from grassland from defined environment in the year 1994 the content of calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and sodium (Na) was analysed. The average quantity of dry matter in 9 samples of grass was 159.04 +/- 29.79g. In one kg of dry matter there were 5.88 +/- 1.10g of Ca, 4...

Summary: | In feed samples from grassland from defined environment in the year 1994 the content of calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and sodium (Na) was analysed. The average quantity of dry matter in 9 samples of grass was 159.04 +/- 29.79g. In one kg of dry matter there were 5.88 +/- 1.10g of Ca, 4.54 +/- 0.69g of P, 16.53 +/- 8.67g of K and 1.14g +/- 0.36 of Na. The average content of dry matter in 4 samples of hay was 903.15 +/- 16.81g, and in it there were 6.36 +/- 1.28g of Ca, 3.45 +/- 0.14g of P, 13.18 +/- 4.97g of K and 0.96 +/- 0.35g of Na. The average of six samples of grass silage was 305.85 +/- 78.99g of dry matter with 7.94 +/- 1.61g per kg of Ca, 3.51 +/- 0.55g of P, 13.90 +/-8.68g of K and 1.04 +/- 0.43g of Na. In dry matter of the average year ration for cows from grassland there were: Ca 54.9%, P 56.2%, K 77.09% and Na 33.6%. With consumed grass the needs of cows of Ca 69.09%, P 62.5%, K 77% and Na 49.4% were covered. |
