Summary:The article is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the introduction of a control method in forest management, introduced by the renowned forestry expert Henrik Schollmayer in the forests of Notranjsko 100 years ago. It is an original way of forest management planning and the recording of forest stand development, and was started and developed in Slovenia. It essentially contributed to the formation of modern forest management in Slovenia.
