Summary:The intensity of symptoms of septoriosis and helminthosporiosis was estimated and the protein content was assayed in the 2nd leaf of wheat plants at different times after preinoculation of the ist leaf. At the interval of 1-5 days between inoculations the symptoms of diseases were weaker than in the control. At the same time the protein content of leaves increased. It remained at a high level during the subsequent four days of the experiment. The increased concentration of the pathogen spores uses for preinoculation did not affect the course of the disease
