Summary:The authors studied feeding preferences of sturgeons. They concluded that combined feed consumption may be intensified by improving the fodder. The most attractive for sturgeons are fodders including crustaceans. The authors describe the use of the sausage combined feed VORZ-St with addition of hydrolyzate from gill-footed crustaceans when changing wild sterlet feeding to artificial fodder. Use of the forage reduced the time of fish adoption to artificial fodder and increased the survival rate. The main parameter of feeding efficient was their mortality, it was 14% for the test fish group and it was 19% for the control one. Besides, the feed influenced positively the food behavior of two-years and producers. The combined feed percentage in the ration was 75% during the period of the 7-10 days and it was 100% on the 10-15 days. The feeding scheme, given in the paper, may be recommended for use in fish plants of the Russian South
