This paper presents an analysis of the presence of rootstocks and varieties in apple production among individual producers in the Gradiška. The analysis was carried out at 25 commodity fruit producers. Among rootstock structures and varieties analysis, there were also analyzed the basic characteristics of the household, as well as other segments of apple growing technology: planting distances, growing forms, pruning system, soil maintenance, storage facilities, as well as market distribution. Apple production in municipality of Gradiška is characterized by the intensity of growing systems, except the part relating to the variety structures, given the high presence of Idared variety. In the future, some of the challenges would face the Gradiška’s apple producers: adaptation of varieties to the contemporary market demands capacity and technological level storage facilities building and long-term marketing strategy.
