Summary:There is not a single step on the globe that is spared from pollution. It is only seriousness of particular ecological problems that differs from country to country and from region to region. Environmental protection implies a set of different procedures and measures preventing endangering of environment with the purpose of preservation of biological balance. Ecological defense is multidisciplinary and it should be a permanent oblication of all members of society. This feature of ecological defense results from the fact that health, environment and social conditions represent a complex of areas and problems that are in constant interaction. One of the most prevalent messages of ecologists certainly is think global, act local. It means it is not sufficient to know what threatens humankind but it is also necessary to know how to defend humankind from those threats and even more how to prevent them.
